There is so much need in this world, and, often, it can be overwhelming to do as much as we can to help. If you’re like us, then you probably wonder who can use your help, how you can help, and whether you’re able to make a difference or if it’s only a small drop in a very large bucket.
Well, we’re working together to fill that bucket!
This is a growing group of likeminded, charitable individuals in the Southeastern Connecticut community who meet four times a year at Filomena’s Restaurant to speak on organizations that are addressing needs in our community, vote on an organization in need and make a joint donation of $100/member to the chosen organization. Working together, our impact on the community is more powerful, and we can efficiently raise money throughout the year.
Past recipients of Shoreline Power of Together include Austyn’s Army, Brian’s Healing Hearts, and Safe Futures. The group has been meeting for less than a full year and, already, has raised more than $18,000 for organizations that are serving our community. With every new member that joins, another $100 goes back into our community and our donations make an even larger impact.
